AfAHC Receives March of dimes Grant

 

The African American Health Coalition will initiate a Prematurity awareness campaign in 10 African American Churches in the Houston Metropolitan area.  The goal of the campaign will be to  raise awareness of high incidence of prematurity among black women , to educate families of child bearing age about risk reduction and warning signs of preterm birth and to provide affected families with information and referrals. The goal is generate concern and action around the problem of prematurity in the African American Faith Based Community in the Houston area.
